The Advisory Board of AI Advances (ABAA) guides both AI Advances and AI Advances Briefs,
supporting their quality and relevance. It consists of contributing writers who volunteer to devote their time
and expertise to help our publishing community grow. ABAA members support both publications:
- Provide strategic advice on both publications' scope, direction, positioning, and policies to meet the needs
of our audience and stays relevant in the field.
- Uphold editorial and ethical standards to preserve the esteemed reputation of AI Advances.
- Suggest topics, identify emerging trends, and recommend potential contributors.
- Provide feedback on both publications' performance and opportunities for improvement, expansion, and
collaboration.
- Advise on the relationship and positioning of AI Advances and AI Advances Briefs.
- Help the publications adapt to changes in Medium's publishing ecosystem.
- Use professional networks to promote both publications, attract high-quality submissions, and expand our
writers' visibility.
- Serve as a critical resource for the editorial team, offering expertise, guidance, and support to ensure AI
Advances' success and impact in the field.
The Board focuses on long-term strategy and governance; the editorial team handles day-to-day submission review
and publishing decisions. Boost nomination is no longer a responsibility of the Board or managing editors.
Beginning in 2026, ABAA will normally meet once each year, with additional communication as needed. Meetings are
held virtually and scheduled with consideration for members' availability.
We welcome experienced contributors who care about our community's future. Board membership is limited. If no
position is available, qualified applicants may be placed on our candidate list and contacted when an opening
arises. We value members' time and appreciate any meaningful contribution.
